OASIS will support your business with a database of qualified mentors, professional development sessions and access to community networking activities.

About Oasis

OASIS connects small businesses facing unique challenges (mentees) with experienced entrepreneurs and community representatives (mentors) to provide them with the support, resources and guidance necessary to explore their entrepreneurial goals through tactical mentorship activities. OASIS also offers professional development opportunities to all participants on an ongoing basis.

Mentors do not write plans and proposals, conduct research, or engage in any other form of work on behalf on the Mentee. The Mentor’s role is to share their expertise and provide direct advice. By addressing the unique needs of the individual mentees, results can be seen in a short period. This is where OASIS will make a measurable difference.

Participants are mentored approximately 30 minutes a week for 12 weeks during which they work with a mentor on a specific business challenge. Participants are also invited to attend various professional development sessions scheduled over the 12 weeks.

Is there a cost?
The only cost to the small business owner is their investment of time. You will meet with your mentor and attend professional development sessions totally 10-12 hours over 12 weeks.
Is OASIS a regular 成人约炮网站 program requiring participants to go back to school?
No. OASIS is a community mentorship program offered to small business owners allowing them to work ‘on’ their business while working ‘in’ their business. There are professional development sessions that run throughout the 12 weeks, but the mentorship meetings with assigned mentors are coordinated by participants around their schedules.
How does the application process work?

Mentee applications will be open 90 days prior to each of our session start dates (January and May). We suggest you ask to be placed on our mailing list so you are notified when the application process is open. Please send us an email to oasis@nbcc.ca to get on our contact list.

Once your application is received, it is assessed to determine if it meets the criteria for the program. If it does, an appointment is set up to discuss the application and specific business needs. The OASIS team will also work with any applicant that may not meet the criteria to recommend and refer to other programs in the region that may be more suitable.

OASIS is a tactical mentorship program focused on action-oriented goals. Targeting specific business needs helps match participants with the most appropriate mentors. OASIS matches participant’s needs to a mentor’s skillset to ensure the best support.
