Late opt-outs or opt-outs submitted by email will NOT be accepted.
All Winter 2026 policies will be effective January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, and will be issued by Guard.me directly during the week of January 26, 2026.
International Student Guard.me
All active international students are required to hold the Guard.me Canada Plan from the first day of their Academic Term unless they can meet the opt-out requirements below.
If you can answer YES to one of the following questions, you can submit an opt-out request via the form below.
If your New Brunswick Medicare coverage expires before the last day of your studies for this academic year, an opt-out is NOT available, and it is your responsibility to ensure you reapply for New Brunswick Medicare in advance of its expiry. Applications for Medicare renewal are not accepted for the purposes of opting out.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Enrollments will be sent to Guard.me by 成人约炮网站 during the second week of the Academic year after the in-class deadline has been passed.
- Policy active dates are as follows:
- Fall Term: September 1 through August 31
- Winter Term: January 1 through December 31
- Spring Term: April 20 through April 19
- Policies will be issued on the third-Monday of the term, after the withdrawal deadline.
- You can enroll your dependents in the plan as long as you have your policy number.Policy numbers will be issued on the third Monday of the intake term by Guard.me directly with your policy coverage information.

- Guard.me Canada is travel insurance and covers most costs related to emergencies and acute care required while you are living outside of your home country.

No. Guard.me policies are purchased for 1 calendar year, and mid-year opt outs are not available.
- Students who are withdrawn from their programs before the full tuition and fees withdrawal date for their intake term per the Academic Calendar will have their policies cancelled and the cost of the plan refunded.
- Students who are withdrawn after the full tuition and fees withdrawal date for their intake term will not be refunded and the policy will remain active for the duration of the policy.
Yes. Guard.me early arrival insurance is available for purchase for up to 4 weeks in advance of your program start date. Please visit the for details. Early arrival insurance is not coordinated by 成人约炮网站.
The GuardMe Excursion Plan provides coverage for critical aid services and out of province emergency services that New Brunswick Medicare will not cover. International students cannot be excluded from this coverage.
