Community Leadership Courses

Over the course of 成人约炮网站's history, staff and students have enhanced their learning through community service projects. The Robertson Institute for Community Leadership honours this history while changing the future by making community leadership and service learning a priority for all students in each of our programs. SUPPORT: Engage. Participate. Reflect.

Why it Matters

Introduced in 2014, this foundational course helps you explore the difference between volunteering and service learning, and how both can enhance your educational experience, personal growth, employability, and civic engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Engage in a short online course (PERS 1228)
  • Participate in a community service activity
  • Reflect on your experience by pondering questions like "What positive impact did we make?" "What did I learn about myself and the organization?" and "Why is it important to give back?" 

How to get involved

This is a free course and will be facilitated by your instructors during the academic year.

BUILD: Learn. Commit. Change.

Why it Matters

In this course, you'll deepen your leadership skills beyond the Support level. You'll craft a personal leadership blueprint and make a sustained commitment to a service activity. 

What You'll Do

  • Learn through self-directed online modules, guided by local community leaders from our province. They'll mentor you in discovering the leader within yourself and how you can make a difference in the lives of others and our communities.
  • Commit to long-term engagement in a volunteer or leadership role to create lasting change within yourself and our communities.
